Vernal, Ut.- On 8/10/23, Detective Gardenheir was advised by AP&P that probationer 19-year-old Mckenzie Lynn Moore was listed as a non-compliant on the Utah Kidnap Sex Offender Registry.
Gardenheir checked the sex offender registry system and confirmed that Mckenzie must register for a felony offense.
Terms and conditions for registered sex offenders:
Every Six (6) Months
1-Within THREE (3) WORKING DAYS of ANY change in HABITAITION (residence)
2-Within THREE (3) WORKING DAYS of ANY change in VEHICLE information
3-Within THREE (3) WORKING DAYS of ANY change in EDUCATIONAL AFFILIATION information
4-Within THREE (3) WORKING DAYS of ANY change in place of EMPLOYMENT or carries on a vocation.
An offender shall provide the department or the registering agency with the following: All names and aliases, the addresses of primary and secondary residences, the offender's physical description, vehicle information, current photograph of the offender, fingerprints, DNA, all telephone information, name and internet addresses of all websites the offender is registered using an online identifier, including all online identities used to access those websites (any electronic mail, chat, instant messenger, social networking or similar name used for internet communications except for identifiers used for the offender's employment, financial accounts, including any bank, retirement, or investment accounts) copy of passports and immigration status, all professional licenses, all Utah educational institution affiliations, employment information, all volunteer information and affiliations, and social security number.
Mckenzie was sentenced on 8/1/2023 and was required to register as a sex offender. On 8/9/2023, Mckenzie was arrested by Adult Probation and Parole and put on a 72-hour hold.
On 8/10/2023, Detective Gardenheir spoke with Mckenzie at the Uintah County Jail. Mckenzie advised on 8/2/2023, she had registered with Agent Ercanbrack and put on the registry that she was homeless.
On 8/2/2023 and 8/3/2023, Mckenzie stayed at the Uintah County Library. From 8/4/2023 to 8/7/2023, Mckenzie was at the Sage Motel. On 8/7/2023 and 8/8/2023, Mckenzie stayed at the Uintah County Library. On 8/9/2023, Mckenzie was going to stay at a friend's house but got arrested.
Due to Mckenzie refusing to register her address within three working days, she will be booked into the Uintah County Jail for failure to register as a sex offender a 3rd-degree felony.
