Police met with a victim at 150 E 750 N on a report of a domestic assault call where 44-year-old Bill K Massey assaulted her and then left the trailer park in his gray Ford F-150, pulling a camp trailer.

The victim reported that she and Bill had been arguing when he assaulted her. She was able to pull away, at which point Bill began gathering his belongings while yelling obscenities at her.

Bill left but returned 20 minutes later, demanding to know where some firearms were. The victim had removed the guns from his truck because they belonged to her.

The argument continued, and the victim asked Bill to leave multiple times, but he refused. The victim stated that Bill asked her what she was going to do about it and took her phone.

Bill placed a blanket over the victim's head and assaulted her again. She fought him off, but he pushed her several more times while yelling obscenities and putting his middle finger in her face.

She was able to grab a spare phone. When doing so, Bill attempted to take the phone away from her, but she was able to keep Bill from taking it. This spare phone worked off of Wi-Fi or to call 911. When she attempted to dial 911, Bill removed the Wi-Fi box and left the residence with it.

Bill was later found at the residence when the victim's phone was back in WI-FI, and a cell phone app showed that Bill had returned to the residence.

When asked about the incident, Bill stated that he had taken the victim's phone because he had paid for it. He later stated that the phone was actually left in his truck and that he must have driven off with it when he left.

When asked about the Wi-Fi box, Bill stated that he paid for it as well, and that was why he took it. Bill stated that he had returned to the residence as he knew the victim was now at a family member's home. When asked, Bill stated that the two were arguing about disagreements they were having and denied the incident being physical.

After speaking with the victim and Bill Massey, Deputy Anderton determined there was probable cause to arrest Bill for felony domestic violence due to the assaultive behavior toward the victim and interruption of a communication device due to Bill taking the victim's original phone, attempting to take the spare phone, and taking the WI-FI box that allowed the spare phone to work correctly.

According to court records, Bill is being held without bail.
