A call came into 9-1-1 from a third-party complainant who wasn't on the scene, stating her daughter was in a domestic violence situation, and she needed someone to go to her residence so she could leave with their baby.
With this information, Deputy Elmer had dispatch run the involved parties' information through the state system and found that the female had multiple active warrants for her arrest.
When the deputies arrived at the residence, they were met by a male and his mother, both of whom were outside.
Sgt. Hill went inside the residence to speak with the female, who was identified as 23-year-old Morrigan Taeler Anderson, while Deputy Elmer spoke with the male victim and his mother separately.
The victim stated that they had been arguing inside the residence once Morrigan came home. During this time, he knew Morrigan was going to leave with their child since she had done it in the past, so he went to give a kiss to his son before she left with him. Morrigan would not let the victim kiss or be near his child, and they continued to argue.
While this was going on, the victim was hit and kicked by Morrigan while trying to say goodbye to his child, and then she called the complainant to come pick her up.
The victim also stated that he did not hit Morrigan or lay a hand on him during the incident.
The victim's mother stated she was present during the whole incident and was asked to explain what had happened. She said Morrigan had come home and started arguing with her son. While they were arguing, Morrigan was holding their child and not letting him say goodbye.
She then witnessed Morrigan pushing the victim along with attempting to kick him, but she was too close and ended up pushing him with the child in her hands. At this time, the victim's mother stated that she reached for the child to remove the infant from the incident, but Morrigan would not let the baby go.
Morrigan told Sgt. Hill said that the victim had taken her phone and wouldn't let her leave. When he talked to her about the phone and asked if she had attempted to call 911 during the incident, Morrigan informed him that she had not and that the victim had given the phone back to her after she had asked for it multiple times.
Morrigan then stated that the victim had grabbed their child, and she admitted to hitting him with her phone to get him away, along with attempting to kick him away but was unable to kick him due to them being so close, so she ended up placing her foot on his leg and tried to push him backward.
Morrigan admitted she had hit the victim with her phone and had attempted to kick him, corroborating the victim's recollection of events. She was arrested for domestic violence assault for unlawful use of force, which could have resulted in serious bodily injury to the victim, and for her active statewide warrants.
Morrigan Taeler Anderson may post bail in the amount of $1,080.00.
