At 2:24 am, Vernal Police were dispatched on a call for service. Dispatch informed police that a female called to report her 17-year-old son as a runaway.
Dispatch also advised police that the teenager had also called and reported that his mother, 40-year-old Alicekay Ann Wools, had punched him in the face multiple times for getting her boyfriend arrested.
Officers had been to this residence two hours prior on a separate incident that led to Alicekay's boyfriend Blake's arrest. During this incident, the officer could smell a strong odor coming from Alicekay's breath.
Cpl. Ross responded to a domestic detail where the complainant reported that 39-year-old Blake Scott Gross was drinking and attempted to assault him.
When the officer arrived, he met with Blake, who said he had drunk a lot but wouldn't say how much. Blake stated he got into an argument with his girlfriend and the complainant, but nothing else occurred.
The 17-year-old stated he witnessed Blake shoving his mother, causing him to confront Blake. Blake then turned and charged at the teenager with his fist raised. The complainant stated Blake would yell at him, which continued inside and outside the residence.
Blake was placed in handcuffs, secured in the back of a patrol vehicle, and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
While at the jail, Blake submitted to a PBT, and the results were .319 BrAC.

Sgt. Johnstun called the teenager to ask what had happened. The teenager was scared and emotional and had a hard time speaking, but he said Alicekay was mad that he called the police on Blake.
The teen stated that Alicekay started punching him on the side of the head and tried to punch him in the nose but missed. Alicekay began to chase him around the residence and grabbed the teen by the collar. The teenager said he then wrestled his mother to the ground and got away from her.
The teenager stated he then walked away from the residence and was still walking when he provided the officer with his location and met with him near 200 South 500 West.
The teen showed Sgt. Johnstun his injuries to his face, head, and elbow. His right ear was red and swollen, and there was a lump on the left side of his head and an abrasion to his left elbow. The 17-year-old said the injuries to his head were from Alicekay hitting him, and the abrasion on his elbow was a carpet burn from wrestling with Alicekay to the ground.
The teen stated after the officers left from the prior incident, Alicekay began yelling and calling him names because he called the police. She then made her son drive her to the jail to try and bail out her boyfriend Blake, who had just been arrested.
On the drive back home, after not being able to bail out Blake, Alicekay continued to yell and hit her son several times on the side of his head. When they arrived home, Alicekay continued to yell and tried to punch the teen. This is when he wrestled her to the ground and ran out of the residence.
The officer returned to the residence to speak with Alicekay about what had happened. She claimed she and the teenager got into a fight, and he took off. Sgt. Johnstun asked if the fight had gotten physical. They had wrestled a little bit, and her son got into her face, and she pushed him back.
Alicekay stated the teen then grabbed her by the neck and, pushed her down to the floor and hit him back.
Alicekay stated her son hit her while they were in the car and pointed to the area. The officer did not see any visible injuries. She stated her son was mad because she had grounded him.
Alicekay was placed under arrest and transported to the Uintah County Jail, where she was booked for child abuse and intoxication.
