Early Sunday morning, officers were dispatched to the Gateway Saloon to a call of a male pulling out a revolver during an altercation.

The bar employee informed dispatch that a male suspect, wearing a mustard yellow sweater, pulled out a revolver from the waistband of his pants during an altercation in the parking lot.

The male suspect was located at 500 East and Main Street and placed into handcuffs. He was identified as 22-year-old Quentin McCoy Neilsen.

Quentin was read his Miranda Rights and admitted to the officers that he pulled out a handgun during a verbal altercation with the intent to intimidate the other party.

In the front of Quentin's sweater front pocket, a .22 LR revolver was located with the hammer cocked backed in the firing position, and a fully loaded cylinder.

When the deputy arrived at the saloon, the security officer informed him that Quentin was in the bar with some friends. During the last call, Quentin got into an argument in the main area of the bar.

The security Officer stated he overheard Quentin comment to the other party that he was going to put them into the ground. At this time, they intervened and kicked Quentin and his party out of the bar.

According to other patrons, Quentin continued to antagonize the other party as he went to the parking lot. One of the patrons notified a bar employee that Quentin was trying to start a fight in the parking lot. The employee approached Quentin to confront him, and he pulled the revolver out of the front waistband of his pants and pointed the revolver at her.

The employee stated that she stepped back when the firearm was pointed at her and told Quentin if he was going to shoot her, just do it. The employee stated that Quentin turned away from her and ran into the field north of the bar. When asked, the bar employee stated that Quentin was consuming alcoholic beverages throughout the evening while he was inside the bar.

Another witness stated earlier in the evening that he was in the bar with some one-dollar bills in his hand when a man wearing a mustard yellow sweater approached him and told him he shouldn't be flashing his money the way he was.

The witness stated that the suspect (believed to be Quentin) opened a fanny pack that he had strapped on his chest, and when he looked inside the bag, he saw a revolver inside the main compartment of the fanny pack.

Quentin was transported to Uintah County Jail, and while there, he consented to a breath test, which showed positive for alcohol.

While Corrections was securing Quentin's property, a THC vape pen was found on Quentin's person.

Quentin was booked into jail for carrying a concealed firearm (F2 due to the aggravated assault), aggravated assault, brandishing or threat of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
