The Uintah Basin Narcotics Strike Force (UBNSF) conducted a probation check at 1776 West 1500 North. During the check, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found.

The agents discovered that 45-year-old Jason Ray Mayfield was the only person living at the address and was on felony probation.

Jason was advised of his rights and said he understood them. Jason was asked what was found in his residence. Jason stated that the pipe is used to smoke methamphetamine.

Due to the fact, Jason is on Felony probation and paraphernalia, and methamphetamine were found inside the residence, the home was searched.

During the search, the agent located a black GNC container in a gray toolbox. The toolbox was seen on the northern wall of the residence. The agent opened the black container and found a clear Ziploc bag with a large amount of a white crystalline substance. The bag contained 32 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

In the same drawer where the meth was found, there was another black container. The black container had a label on it from a marijuana dispensary in Colorado. The container was opened, and there was a green plant-like material suspected of marijuana.

There was a large Ziploc bag with the same green plant-like material. The black container had 28 grams of suspected marijuana. The Ziploc bag had 28.3 grams of marijuana. Jason stated he had a medical cannabis card. A records check was performed, and it returned that Jason's medical cannabis card was expired.

Next to the gray toolbox was a black backpack. Inside the backpack was another black bag. In the smaller black bag, an Altoid mint container was found. Inside the mint container were several more bags containing suspected methamphetamine.

The bags contained a total of 26.3 grams of methamphetamine. In the same backpack was another smaller black bag. Inside this black bag were several knives varying from large fixed-blade knives and other smaller pocket knives.

Also, during the search, multiple pipes and syringes were located in various locations in the residence.

Jason was arrested and booked into the Uintah County Jail.

Based on the affirmation of the arresting officer, the undersigned magistrate finds that probable cause existed for the arrest without a warrant of Jason Ray Mayfield.

The current offense is a felony committed while on probation or parole or while free on bail awaiting trial on a previous felony charge. The court finds substantial evidence to support the current felony charge.

Therefore, the court orders that Jason Ray Mayfield is to be held without bail.
